Machine Control describes a 3D GPS system on heavy equipment, and not the GPS you think of when driving in your car. The GPS we use is centimeter accurate, construction and survey grade. It’s like having a super computer on a piece of heavy equipment. Typically only used on large civil sites by large contractors. We’ve equipped our fleet with it to offer this premium level of accuracy and efficiency to jobs that 10 years ago would of never seen it.

Stake-Less Excavation

Whether it is a large road project or a simple foundation excavation, we have the capabilities with machine control to excavate on the site without having a surveyor out to frequently set, and reset stakes. We simply receive the digital files from the engineer and the surveyor and we come onsite ready to dig. What that means for our customers, is that we are turn key, high efficiency, only moving dirt that needs to be moved once, no guess work involved.

Data Sharing

What both engineers and surveyors like about working with us, is that we can share data both ways with them on a project, leading to higher efficiency and a better finished project.

Engineer’s Plan

Our ability with machine control allows us to do things that few can, for example sharing data with the engineer. Instead of only referring to the paper plan, we can put the real digital file that the paper plan is based on into our heavy equipment and build it to the engineering. In past projects we’ve taken DESC Plans for custom homes and used machine control to build the DESC Plan in real life, something almost unheard of for those projects.
